Hello out there! I never thought I would be one to start a blog. I’ve never felt I have anything particularly interesting to say that anyone would want to follow. But here I am!
Why am I here you ask? Well, I’m in the process of re-inventing myself while flipping furniture. I thought maybe, just maybe my process and experiences might be of interest to SOMEONE!! Maybe someone will be amused, I know I often am.
So, a little bit about me and how I arrived here: I moved to Salem, MA from Washington, D.C. about 2 1/2 years ago in order start a new chapter in my life. I guess you could say I was in a mid-life crisis after having a TERRIBLE couple of years. I’ve come from a life of working in museums but haven’t been able to find full time work in about 4 years, so I jokingly said I was going to completely reinvent myself and start over from scratch and become an electrician, or plumber…. LOL! I love living in New England and have made some good friends. I am working two part time jobs while I continue to search for full time work. Recently I’ve picked up this new hobby of finding small pieces of ugly, unloved furniture and trying to bring new life into each piece and create something beautiful and useful. It’s a great creative outlet which I need!! It’s also becoming quite a learning experience in many ways. I recently had an “AH HA” moment when I realized that as I’m re-purposing and fixing up these pieces I am in fact reinventing myself! We’ll see where this takes me! I hope you enjoy what I have to show and share with you, let me know what you think!
So here I am flippin’ fabulous furniture, and flippin’ myself as well!
Cheers!!
I’m coming to visit, hee hee! (not really, alas)
I love Phipp’s flips!
ahhhh good blog…add how you love and care for the furniture, kinda of a step by step…maybe even add names to pieces of furniture, Best of luck and if you want to post on my huge weather blog under off topics we’ll help promote your blog.

Welcome, Paula! I’m looking forward to keeping up with the blog, and I love its title. The furniture is terrific, too!
Yay, love it! I’ve seen some of your work on Facebook, and it’s amazing. Keep at it…you’re good! You should totally submit a before & after post to Apartment Therapy.
Thanks Martina, we’ll see where it takes me!! I hope to post many photos in the next few days.
My bedroom is gone! Alas, a sacrifice to a worthy cause. Love it!
Great start, Paula! Can’t wait to see all your transformations.
