#16 – Chair Caning

So just to clarify what this is, some of you know I have another blog 50for50years, where I’ve challenged myself to try 50 new things this year.  #16 happened to be learning to re-cane chairs!  It relates to this blog as well, so here it is!

Many of you know that I have another blog flipbyphipps.com where I talk about and show the pieces of furniture that I flip and sell at a flea market or to friends.  It’s a hobby I started last summer to have some sort of creative outlet, but it grew and I knew I needed to start selling all those cute little pieces of unloved furniture that I was picking up.  I don’t pretend to be highly skilled, a carpenter or furniture repair expert.
